INGREDIENTS

All our ingredients are vegan, cruelty free and non GMO.  We only use the 7 ingredients listed below, no fillers, colours or chemicals.

Bentonite Clay:  A mineral-rich clay composed mainly  of montmorillonite, it is renowned for its ability to absorb  toxins and excess moisture. By doing so, it can effectively reduce bacterial growth and inflammation, thereby  reducing the risk of infections such as thrush.

French Green Clay: Contains essential minerals such as  magnesium, calcium, and potassium. These minerals help  absorb toxins and moisture reducing bacteria in a  similar way to bentonite. Green clay is less harsh than  white clay, so when blended the clays have a perfect  balance of effectiveness and sensitivity.

Zinc Oxide: Creates a protective layer on the hoof which  aids in repelling moisture and preventing bacterial  intrusion. Additionally, zinc oxide's anti-inflammatory  effects help soothe irritated tissues, promoting quicker  healing.

Kelp extract: Has a rich composition of essential minerals  and vitamins, including iodine, potassium, calcium, and  magnesium. These nutrients play a crucial role in the  growth and repair of hoof cells. The iodine content in kelp  is particularly effective due to it’s strong antiseptic  properties which help to eliminate harmful bacteria and  fungi on the hoof surface.

Eucalyptus oil: Contains potent anti-inflammatory,  antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties. It can soothe  irritated tissues, speed up healing, and repel pests.

Manuka honey: Enhances the antibacterial effects of  ingredients like zinc oxide while its natural enzymes may  aid in nutrient absorption from clay minerals, accelerating healing and strengthening hooves. It also offers  its own  antibacterial properties, soothing inflammation,  accelerating healing, and promoting tissue regeneration.

Water: Acts as a medium to mix the ingredients uniformly  and achieve the desired consistency. This ensures easy  application and adherence to the hoof surface. It helps  activate certain ingredients in the clay, such as bentonite, which require moisture to function effectively. This  activation is crucial for the clay’s ability to absorb toxins  and draw out impurities from the hoof.

HOW TO USE

As clay: Spread a thin layer over the sole and frog, working  the clay into the collateral grooves and central sulcus. Can be packed over shallow holes and cracks. For very  shallow or fine cracks, the clay can be diluted to a thinner  consistency with a small amount of tap water to make  application easier.  Clay is safe to leave in the hoof until it naturally dries  and flakes off.

As a dressing: Decant a small amount of clay into another container and using a wet paintbrush paint onto the sole.

Storage: Fasten lid tightly to keep clay moist. If clay is left to air and becomes dry, a small amount of tap water can be used to activate it to the desired consistency.

Handling: Clay is safe to handle without gloves unless  you have an allergy to any of the ingredients. It can be messy  to apply and may stick to clothing, warm water can be used to wash it off.  Avoid contact with eyes. Store in a dry area above 0°c.
